director | co-writer | producer | editor Matt Edwards is a Los Angeles native who has been working in independent film, television and new media for almost 15 years. He has worked on numerous film festival award-winning short films (Tom’s War on Terror, Redemption Song, Solace) as well as produced in reality television for networks such as Travel Channel, History and Spike. Matt is an associate producer on the multi-award winning documentary Sweethearts of the Gridiron. He also worked as a producer with Korchula Productions, a film and new media company in Los Angeles, developing projects like the feature film Little Pink House (starring Catherine Keener and Jeanne Tripplehorn) and the feature documentary Can We Take a Joke?, as well as producing and directing several short documentaries on the topic of free speech. Matt directed over 200 episodes of mulit-camera live celebrity based programming for a start up live streaming studio in Hollywood at the turn of the decade. In addition to filmmaking, Matt is also the program director for a nonprofit organization that assists emerging filmmakers in developing their career in the entertainment industry.
